Fabric scraps given a new life. Hand sewn. Hand patterned and functional.

As a challenge to myself, I made three different bags soley out of scrap material donated from various sourses. Most of the fabric used was canvas from a local industrial sewing company specializing in marine fabrics.

This was the first bag, and the most impromptu. The fabric used for this bag came in a thick strip with two kinds of fabric already sewn into it. It imidiately made me think of a messenger bag, and soon after I was planning out the patterns to make

The red fabric scraps I wanted to use for this bag was already cut into identical trangular pieces. This drove the design to become a simple drawstring bag with a triangular pouch. The back pieces was made from two seperate pieces since I didn't hav
